Born and bred in McLaren Vale, the Vineyard family has spent three generations crafting wines from the unique terroir of our limestone hill — with character and just the right amount of curiosity. Founded in 1979 by Mark Vineyard, the estate continues to set the benchmark for premium wine in South Australia.

Mark Vineyard founded the winery in 1979 on a unique limestone ridge in McLaren Vale. His deep understanding of the land, combined with a restless creative spirit, laid the foundation for what would become one of the region's most celebrated estates.

The Vineyard Estate comprises 100 acres of south-facing, gently sloping vineyards within walking distance of the McLaren Vale township. The oldest vines on the estate date back to 1928, producing fruit of extraordinary depth and complexity.
Located just 45 minutes south of Adelaide, the Tasting Room offers seated wine flight experiences, with a carefully crafted snack menu designed to enhance the wine-tasting journey. The Terrace provides a more casual outdoor setting.
